This separation is of course an illusion, and when we buy into this illusion, we make it easy for false power structures to continue.

Regular people have been forbidden from accessing their true star power for thousands of years…
But all that energy doesn't just “go away”, and when it's suppressed, it finds somewhere to leak out.
We act like celebrity culture is “toxic” but the truth is,
We eat our celebrities alive.
“Star Power” is a force we all crave - it's an untamable force inside us all that connects us to what we are here to do and how we are here to influence reality.
Because it is so powerful and because of its reality-changing capacity, it has been long forbidden.
We have ancient rejections programs running through our psyches via thousands of years of epigenetics that have located us in the identity of the outcast, the misfit, the outsider.
But because you can never eliminate universal truths, that energy needs some place to go.
So that energy channels into the places it is “allowed” to go, where it can be controlled, monitored, and manipulated.
And because it's an energy we are all so hungry for, we feast on it.
This is why we have extractive expressions of “Star Power”, such as rock gods, pop idols, superstars, and royal families.
These words themselves contain secret truths hidden in plain sight. (gods, idols, stars, royalty)
The “powers that be” (which is t this point really an ancient force, not a single person or institution, but rather an egregore created after thousands of years of suppression) know they cannot keep our hunger suppressed for long or we will revolt.
So they have erected “acceptable” stages to allow this energy to play out for our satisfaction…
…and when we do, we extract these energies because we are so starved for them ourselves.
Have you ever wondered why so many “rock gods” — who seem to have all anyone could ever want and more — almost always meet their demise?
It's not because they are greedy, it's not because they let the fame go to their heads.
(Perhaps on the surface this is what happens, but the mechanics of what's going on there is much more complex)
It's because we have made them avatars for our OWN Star Power.
The Stage, the spotlight, these are the only places that Star Power is sanctioned, so we make them perform it for us while we get our fill.
All the ways we don't get to shine.
All the ways we crave center stage.
We feel we have “missed our shot” and so we devour their Star energy vicariously.
If you covet your own celebrity (you want to be famous but you don't want anyone to KNOW you want to be famous because it's undignified to want that) yet simultaneously disdain celebrity culture…
You might have a Star Power problem.
Everyone talks about how the press killed Princess Diana…
…But no one talks about how it was their own ravenous hunger for her Star Power that made her image worth millions of dollars.
We worship that which we see in ourselves, and because we won't let ourselves have it, we destroy that which we worship.
The truth is we are so hungry for this energy that when someone dares to shine, we fixate on them.
Pedestalize them and distort them into an image of ourselves, a representation of all our own repressed Star Power
Why do you think being a celebrity eats people alive?
It's not because there's anything wrong with being seen and celebrated for their gifts.
(The root of “celebrity” is “celebrate”)
It's because Star Power is only permitted in captivity.
On a stage, on a pedestal, in containment.
Celebrities are sacrificed on the altar of our own misplaced yearning.

This is why so many celebrities and people in the spotlight combust: they go supernova and catastrophically explode.
We either crave fame for ourselves or extract Star Power energy from those in the spotlight — not because we are bad or evil…
